When the day is really clear and the waves are constant, but not huge, you can see into the swells. The water peels the seaweed* up into itself and light plays along its orangy surface and the interior of the wave at the same time.
This is a first attempt at studying that phenomenon with paint, after watching it intensely for 5 years and informally for 30+.
No need to rush these things.
