Painted on the cliff-like rocks of the Appledore Island's Northern Headlands, this piece is now a muse for a very large jigsaw reduction woodblock print. The paper is around 25" x 37", which is probably the limit of my reach.
So far, we have three layers. The first was just light purple with a few highlights carved out - not easily displayed in a photo.
When we skip to the second layer, it looks like this, with some light green, pink and tan:
Later, blue and a lighter pink were added:
There is lots more work to do with this print. Sometime, I'll show you the block. Until then, keep checking back for updates on our progress!
