Another copy of a plein air attempt. Last year, I took my painting pack into the woods and painted this fallen tree.
The
dogs and I explore these woods nearly every day and the trees are very
familiar to me now. The most striking are the giants lying on the
ground, victims of some violent storm. I have a loose goal to catalog
more of these characters. This happened to be the first - a tree with
such strong branches that they can prop it up off the dirt after the
attack.
Note: This is all part of Leslie Saeta’s 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge. I’ll remind you every day.
