Wet Dogs at Western Avenue Studios

Three of us moving into the new studio.

Over the weekend, the dogs and I moved some supplies, tools, equipment and furniture into the Western Avenue Studios in Lowell, MA.

WAS is the largest community of artists around - 300 studios! You can read more about it on their website.

When I saw that this particular space was available - two giant north facing windows, nice little "L" to separate exhibit space from work space/dog hangout, wall colors that don't need updating immediately - I decided to try it.

We have more artwork to hang, but 5 whole days to get the place ready for our first Open Studios on April 7 from 12-5. We can make it. As you can see from the photo above, Measure has a discerning eye and Coast is resting up.

The woodblock prints are all up already and there are racks for the note cards too.

The dog paintings will go on the pale wall. Saturday would be a great time to see these in person, so come on by #334 and say "Hi"!
