Winter with the River

Snow and Fog, original oil painting sold, but digital versions are available

The Piscataquog River runs through my little town, seemingly following me around as I do errands.

Here, it travels back into the woods, its path masked by fog. The uncertainty of its destination is more intriguing than when all the background trees are clear and discernible.

Food for thought as we enter the final month of 2018 and start planning for the next year.

A Little Thaw

Winter Hanging On, oil on canvas, 6"x8"

This is a scene from spring, but it looks like that out there now in some places. The early snows aren't lasting everywhere, so we have the streaks of white and purple over the golds.

More Snow

Fading Winter Sun, oil on gessoed board, 6"x6"

Good thing that I love the snow since it keeps coming. When it looks like this - all glowy - it is easy to love.

Early Snow

Backyard Snow, oil on gessoed board, 6"x6"

We went quickly from pumpkins to pure white out there.

This painting is from a few years ago, but the yard looks pretty much like this. And probably will until April.

Which is fine with me. I love it.

More framed art

Wet Dogs Jump the Waves, digital reproduction, 10"x10"

Sometimes people see artwork online and wonder what it would look like framed.

Here is one example. Of course, if you take a digital print to your framer, they will give you a million wonderful options more exciting than natural wood.

But this is a start.

Life of Odiorne Rocks!

Odiorne Rocks!, white-line woodcut print hanging in an exhibit

This is an old photo from an exhibit years ago.

Odiorne Rocks! was framed in wood back then. Now, it is framed in warm, grey metal:

At least here. If you get an unframed one, you can frame it however you wish.

Maybe I Should Move My Easel, plein air oil painting

I was just looking at older files and I saw this and I like it. You've seen it before. I like it and I had fun painting it.

It is still available...
