Hard Water

This is the absolute newest print. It is akua ink on kinwashi, just like Bright Day and Marsh Spring - remember my video

Instead of wood, I used soft kut, which is a brand name for a soft material that feels a little like a rubber eraser. It started out as a rectangle and then I cut into pieces:


After playing with colors and shapes a bit, I cut it into even more pieces, rolled ink on each one, reassembled them and used a wooden spoon to transfer the image onto paper. I happened to take a picture of the block taken apart and inky:



Why "Hard Water"? I don't really know... this wave just looks like it would hurt if it hit you.
